Jonathan Saltzman Bio
- How long have you been working as a licensed Medicare broker?
I have been working as a licensed health insurance agent for 7 years. I worked exclusively in the "under 65" sector for the first three years. I started marketing Medicare products four years ago.
- What states are you licensed to practice in/what states do you work with?
I am licensed in MD, DC, VA, TX, CA, FL, SC, WV, NJ, NY, and PA.
- Why did you choose to become a Medicare broker?
My current clients were turning 65 and asking me questions about Medicare, and I did not know what to tell them. Others found me online and called me for help with Medicare. I saw the demand, so I studied the Medicare system and the insurance products, so I could service this sector of the market.
-Do you work with all insurance companies or only select ones?
I represent many companies, and my goal is to look at all of the options and help you find the best fit for your needs and budget.
I work with national carriers such as United Healthcare, Kaiser Permanente, Humana, Aetna, Cigna, Wellcare, Mutual of Omaha, and others.
I also work with smaller "local" carriers. For example, I also represent Johns Hopkins' Medicare Plan, which is only available in Maryland.
-What type of plans do you work with?
I represent Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, prescription drug, dental and vision plans.
- What are your hobbies and interests?
I like to read, play sports, and spend time with my family during my free time.
- How can I contact you for services?
Please call or text me at 301-377-3594. You can also email me at jsaltzman@healthmarkets.com, and we can arrange a time to talk.
